Best July Events for Portland 2014
Well, its getting hot around the Portland area and more and more people are looking for fun outdoor events and activities this summer time. Here's what's happening around Portland this July, 2014.
Make sure you check out the Waterfront Blues Festival happening the weekend of July 3 through the 6th. This is one of the biggest Fourth of July events in the Portland metro area. Read more about the blues Festival here.
July 23-27 is the Oregon Brewers Festival. We certainly love our microbrews and at this event located at Tom McCall Waterfront Park you can try 80 different craft beers and there's even a root beer garden. Enjoy pub food, live music, and learn about homebrewing.
July 24-26 is the Hawaiian Festival at the Esther Short Park. Each day there something new to experience with three days of Hawaiian fare, workshops, Hula dancing and even a 5K run.
The Washington County fair is happening in Hillsboro and is a free County fair offering carnival rides, farm animals, delicious fair food, motorsport shows, live entertainment and a kid village.
July 12-13 is the Lavender Festival throughout many different locations around the state. Check out their website for more details and locations.
Starting on July 7 and running until August 28 are concerts in the park located at Washington Park. This is a free event so bring your blanket and chairs, pack some goodies and enjoy beautiful music in the Park.
Happening July 10 through August 23 are zoo concerts at the Oregon zoo. Enjoy world-class performers and same-day zoo passes throughout a variety of days in June, July and August.
Two unique festivals, the Pirates and Gypsy Festival happening July 17 to the 21st in Lebanon and the Robin Hood Festival July 18 and 19th in Sherwood. These unique medieval type Festival speech are lots of food, crafts, music and dance.
The amazing Street of dreams is happening July 26 through August 24 in Happy Valley. You can tour five custom landscaped homes for $15 at the NW. Natural St. Of Dreams. There's an outdoor café plus daily events.
Into cars? The Car Race and Show is happening at the Portland International Raceway on July 11 through the 13th where there will be over 250 historical cars and 700 collector cars and hot rods.
