Since the late 1990s, the Pearl District of Portland Oregon has been growing at a rapid rate and renovating a lot of the older style industrial buildings into lofts and condominiums.

Located in the heart of downtown Portland between W. Let’s start with breakfast: grab your favorite cup of joe at the Starbucks or the Pearl Street coffee shop and then head to the Pearl Bakery for freshly made croissants and scones or sit down for a more hearty meal at the Byways Café.
After breakfast hit the Pearl Pilates Studio or Barre 3 dance and fitness center; get pampered at the Amore Salon and Spa or the full works at the Glow Boutique Salon. For lunch, grab a bite at the Bridgeport Brewpub overlooking the Willamette River and get your sweet tooth fixed at Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream.
After lunch, feel free to browse through the many antique stores, home furnishing and florists, and find that perfect peace to fit in that spot in your loft in the Pearl district at Bravado Home and Bella Casa.
For dinner, get a taste of Peru in the Pearl at the Andina Restaurant offering South American tastes and delights including diver scallops, vegetarian quinoa, local fish and poultry meals, seared yellowfin tuna and of course of the finest in Cascade Natural filet mignon and steaks. This is truly a unique dining experience and something all Portland residents should take in at some point.
As the day comes to a close wander through the art galleries and museums to get a real sense of the local culture. There are several art walks throughout the month in various galleries and exhibits.
And, when you’re ready to make the Pearl District your permanent home in Portland, consider one of the many condominiums or loft style homes right downtown.
