Portland Brews and Bridges - Evergreen Escapes is a weekly event for the Portland Oregon area and this weekend those that love beer and handcrafted breweries can get their fix. Learn about the brewing industry in the Pacific Northwest and sample ambers and sales as well is other handcrafted brews from around the city. On this tour you can sightsee in the downtown area and visit our eclectic neighborhoods and scenic bridges in our event-provided vehicles. Start at the Downtown Portland Hotels and Cruise Terminals at 2 PM on Friday and Saturday. The cost is $95 presented by Evergreen Escapes.
Vancouver Wine and Jazz Festival - just across the water in Washington at the Esther Short Park happening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4 PM on Friday and 11 AM on Saturday and Sunday is the 15th annual Vancouver Wine and Jazz Festival. Learn about local wines, meet the winemaker, be transfixed by the sights and sounds of jazz music and explore all the fine art and delicious cuisine the Northwest has to offer.
The Taste of Mexico - this fundraiser happening Friday from 5:30 PM till 10 PM is to benefit the IME Becas Scholarships Program by the Portland Art Museum. Enjoy an evening of fabulous Spanish music and all the traditional flavors that go along with it. The cost is $40 and is located at the Portland Art Museum at 1219 SW. Park Ave.
SakeOne’s Pacific Rim Festival - on Saturday, August 25 from 11 AM to 7 PM, enjoy the third annual Pacific Rim Festival with delicious Pacific Rim food and live performances from local artists and trendy music around the Pacific Northwest. Located at Sake One 820 Elm St. in Forest Grove Oregon.
Brewvana Saturday Imbibing Tours - located at the Oregon Convention Center at 777 SE. Martin Luther King Blvd. on Saturday, August 25 from 12 PM, enjoy learning about beer and the brewing process from a variety of local vendors. Master brewers take to the stage offering tips and suggestions for handcrafting your own organic and sustainably built beers. This tour features lunch, and a sampling of a variety of the selection of beers from local brewmaster's and breweries around the area. The cost is $75 and tickets sell quickly.
Chocolate Decadence Tour - if you've had enough of the beer and wine why not check out some of the more delectable sweet treats that Portland is famous for. Located at the Heathman Hotel on Saturday and Sunday starting at 3 PM, enjoy bite-size tastes from exquisite chocolate makers giving you an in-depth glance at how they construct and create their fabulous treats. Enjoy cakes, chocolate nibs, cookies and even cocktails and vinegar created with some of the most award-winning chocolates in the area. The cost is $49 and runs for about 2 1/2 hours. If you're a chocoholic, this event is certainly for you.
