Wow, wouldn't mom love to go to this?
Over 225 vendors are feeling the Oregon Convention Center on May 9 at 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Located at 777 N. East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in downtown Portland, this 60,000 ft.² hall will feature dozens of amazing handmade crafts, food, clothes, activities and more. This is some of the best and brightest handmade crafts from the northwest and surrounding areas. Plus, this is just in time for Mother's Day on May 10. If you want something fun to do with your mom consider coming to this event on Saturday, May 9. There will be goodie bags for the first 200 people through the door, free activities and workshops, kids crafts, hundreds of plants, vegetables, herbs and flowers for sale and numerous nursery booths, there will even be the CAT Adoption Team cat shelter with information on adopting a cat.
One of the best things about this event is that it is completely free.
Events include a DIY Table with Collage and crafts at different times of the day including Faux Suede Tassel Keychains, and card making stations.
The Scrap Station invites kids and parents to participate in this activity together where they can make greeting cards out of reused materials. SCRAP is a non-profit organization that inspires creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing education programs and affordable materials to the community.
While you're there, grab a bite to eat at one of the on-site vendors or stop in first for a lunch somewhere close by with mom and then treat her to the afternoon at the craft fair.
