Portland has a lot of great events happening this November and whether you're getting ready for the holiday season or still hanging onto a bit of summer, here are some amazing events  that will satisfy both urges.

The Holiday Food and Gift Show November 7 – 9

Enjoy some of the best holiday food and gifts around at the Oregon convention Center in downtown Portland. With over 300 exhibitors, music, photography, Christmas decorations and more, this will certainly put you in the holiday mood. Adults are $10, senior citizens $9 and kids 12 and under are free. Tickets are good for all three days.

Northwest Film Festival November 7-15November Events in Portland

 With more  then 400 entries from filmmakers from Alaska, Idaho, British Columbia and Oregon, there's something for everyone at this unique event.

Veterans Day Parade November 11

 Bring the kids and head out To NE. Sandy Blvd. in downtown Portland for this one-of-a-kind event.

Ski & Snowboard Show November 14-16

 Located at the Portland Expo Center, this 34th annual event invites snow enthusiasts and recreational activists to enjoy some of the best ski and snowboard events of the year.

Belgian Festival November 15

 Come and sample some of the best brews in German bytes around at Bailey's Taproom.

Northwest Food and Wine Festival November 15

 If you are a foodie you won't want to miss this unique event on November 15 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Doubletree  Lloyd Center with over 600 wines and a wide variety of gourmet flavors.

Seaside Fall Wine Walk November 15

 This downtown Wine Walk will feature three different locations at the seaside Downtown Development Association.

Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt November 22nd

 This citywide event happens at 1969 N. E. 42nd Ave. and is appropriate for all ages starting at 1:00 PM. It's a $10 charge with lots of prizes.

Wild Arts Festival November 22 – 23

This unique event is located at Montgomery Park, 2701 NW.Vaughn  and is just $6 for adults and kids 16 and under are free. Celebrate nature in arts and books from the Audubon Society of Portland.

Ugly Sweater Run in PortlandThanksgiving Dance November 27

 This event is held at the conduit, 918 Southwest Yamhill Rd. on the fourth floor. There's a sliding scale price between $15 and $20 on Thanksgiving day from 10:00 AM until noon.

Turkey Trot at the Zoo November 27

Winter Wonderland November 27 – December 28

 At the Portland International Raceway, enjoy one of the largest holiday light shows west of the Mississippi. This spectacular drive-through light show features over 250 light sets that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own vehicle.

Tree Lighting Ceremony November 28 Pioneer Courthouse Square

Christmas Bazarr November 28 – 30 and December 5 – 7

 This is located at the Portland Expo Center in general omission is just $7 with discounts for seniors and children.

Holiday Express Train November 28 – December 14

 All Aboard one of the most beloved events throughout Portland. The Holiday Express travels along the Willamette River on the Oregon Pacific Railroad.

Lights at the Grotto November 28 – December 30

Some of the best lights of the season can be seen at the Grotto at NE 85th and Sandy Blvd in Portland. General admission is just $10 with discounts for seniors and kids. Don't miss an opportunity to check out this spectacle before the end of the year.

Zoo Lights November 28 – January 4

 Similar to the Grotto, but at the Zoo!!

Ugly Sweater Run November 30

Located at the Oregon Convention Center at 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd - Garner your ugliest  Christmas Sweater and head out for this 3.1 mile fun run starting at 9:00am.
