Sewing and quilting may not be my thing but it certainly is an interest to many people, so there's no better time than the present to have the annual Quilt, Craft And Sewing Festival located at the Portland Expo Center, Thursday, November 20 through Saturday, November 22, 2014.
General admission is just $10 at the door and those that have a knack and an eye for this type of craft will be blown away with all of the workshops, exhibits, presentations and amazing "artwork" of professional and national quilters and seamstresses.
Parking is $8 per space, per entry but carpools of three people are more are discounted to just $7. Attendees can visit the website at QuitCraftSew.com for discounts and admission coupons as well as vendor coupons and more information.
This festival will run Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Those that arrive on Thursday may be eligible for early buying privileges at certain exhibits and displays. Attendees will view the latest supplies, fabrics, patterns and tools all at one location. There will be giveaways and contests including $500 cash given away every morning at 9:45 AM.
Quilters and sewing superstars will enjoy free classes and workshops, demonstrations and the latest techniques and tools for sewing machines, quilting patterns, needlework and more. Tickets are good for all three days so if you didn't see it all the first day be sure to come back. Thousands of locals and visitors alike will be flocking to the Portland Expo Center this weekend for this unique event.
