One of the biggest things going on this month in Portland is the Rose Festival. From carnival rides to fireworks, fabulous wine tours and parades, the Rose Festival brings locals and visitors from all around to enjoy this fantastic week of festivities.Portland's Rose Festival Parade

The City Fair, parade, and fireworks are probably the biggest events going on. The City Fair starts Friday and goes till June 9 from 11 AM to 11 PM every weekend. The city fair offers rides, concessions, food and music and runs May 24 through June 9. Advance tickets are available and opening-night wristbands are available for just $29. Only open on the weekends, The City Fair is open May 24 to the 27th, May 30 through June 2, and June 6 through the 9th. Part of the official Festival, these three full weekend events features local beer, live exotic animals, shopping from the city fair shopping center, new brides each year, special attractions and fireworks show each night. Enjoy beautiful music, classic fair, fund vendors and fair food.

In addition to City Fair there’s also the Rose Festival Rose Parade called the Grand Floral Parade happening Saturday, June 8 at 10 AM. The Dragon boat race also happens June 8 and Sunday, June 9 starting at 8 AM and ending approximately at 4 PM. This is located at the south end of the Tom McCall Waterfront Park celebrating their 25th year.
